Forklift Instructor Training Ontario - Forklift Instructor training certification is recommended for forklift operators who would like to become instructors. In order to qualify for forklift instructor training, operators must be able to prove they have a high level of knowledge about forklift machinery and have good lift truck driving skills. Instructor training normally is held at an equipment sales facility or at the campus of a junior college, community college, or technical or vocational school. Forklift manufacturing companies occasionally offer train the trainer, practical, hands-on courses.

Whether offered in a classroom environment or at a manufacturing business facility, registering for the program will involve paying a tuition fee, and buying manuals, book or other materials. Course length varies depending on the program. Participants normally have to have satisfactory test scores, participation and demonstration during the program to be able to qualify for trainer certification.

It is assumed that the trainee taking the instructor course would have past experience using forklifts.
