JLG Telehandler Training Ontario - In the late 1960's John L. Grove, with his wife Cora set out on a cross country voyage in their RV. Newly retired, after spending numerous years working with his brother to assemble their crane company into an market leader, John had no idea that momentous trip would allow JLG Industries, Inc to emerge. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling technologies was the end result of a road expedition.
Whilst on their trip, John spent time conversing with past business associates whom the Groves stopped to visit along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic incident-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were going to the Hoover Dam- John discovered a substantial marketplace for a product that could swiftly and securely elevate people in the air to accomplish upkeep and other building functions.
Upon returning from their travels, John established a joint venture with two friends and obtained a metal fabricating business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, starting operations with a crew of twenty staff, they created and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. The business incorporates some of the simple design essentials of that original lift into existing models.
Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a long way from when Mr. John L. Grove returned from his fatefull cross-country trip and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the marketplace. As of today, the company has expanded itself into several international markets and continues to cultivate innovative machinery to ensure that customers are able to become safer and more well-organized within their workplace.
